Tex, I'm so glad that Pickering now carries the full line of Ralph Moore's Persian roses. I bought them years ago from Sequoia, which closed in 2007. They were very weak and finicky own-root plants and some didn't survive. The survivors, which are now at least 4 years old, are still only a fraction of the size of Pickering's grafted versions I bought this year and last. I planted the bare-root Persian Flame in January and it's already a decent size and is blooming nicely. So, if you're interested in acquiring the rose legally,
order it from Pickering.
Sue, your Helen Hayes looks great and you will have Brown Velvet again. It's one of the priority projects this year.
Wow's actually my reaction too, Porkpal. I can't believe they all started blooming so quickly. Every time I take the camera back inside, I see something new that needs to be photographed. Most of the stuff isn't roses, so I've left it out of this thread, but look at this tree peony. It starts out pink and then fades to a delicious pink and white.
