"SON" you still have the touch.

I put two cuttings of Miss Doris in water a couple of months ago and still no sign of roots, any suggestions.

Mom were they green tip cuttings or semi woody cuttings, I have rooted Miss Doris in a couple of weeks but
it is really warm here in Florida. If they are green tips I place them in a a small 9 pack tray from the garden
center and if they are semi woody or woody cuttings they are rooted in water in no time. Let me know if you need me to start you some cuttings of Miss Doris and send them to you.

I just may have to do that, these are woody cuttings from the plant you gave me, I left a couple of leaves on and they are still nice and green but after 10 weeks no sign of any roots coming, my granddaughter in Cal. is wanting to plant one in her garden, they just moved to a larger house with a large garden space.

Very pretty! I had some a few years ago but had to move to an aprtment so lost them. Now that I am back in a house with sunlight and outdoor space, I bought some seeds this year and set out 12 pots but only 1 seed has come up which was annoying! The seeds were pretty expensive too. I am hoping that now that it's warmer during the day and I am putting the flats outside more might germinate.
Thanks for posting the picture!
Terri
Life is a rush into the unknown. You can duck down and hope nothing hits you, or you can stand tall, show it your teeth and say "Dish it up, Baby, and don't skimp on the jalapeƱos."

WOW. I checked mine again today when I changed the water, one of the stems have a very small hair started, doubt if it will grow.

Someone told me at add some kelp to the water and boil the water first. I did that. We will see.

CB~ What kind of water are you using? Do you do something to it or is it tape water? I'm all ears! I am all ears.

Straight tap water and nothing is added to it.

There has got to be something in California water that makes it so slow to root. Two week later I finally have rootlet on the stem.
