I got my plants from James Hall today!

I got Azure Wings and Bear Claws, WOWWWW!!! Both were huge and had extra fans and James sent me a monster sized fan of Lillian's Lying Eyes as a bonus!!

I restrained myself this year, I think I only have 2 more coming. Which is good because I had to move things to plant all of these last 2 orders

We received more daylilies this week---Singing Oakes (Jeffcoats, S. Carolina), Goldcoast (Bonnie & Stan Holley, California), Ridaught Daylilies/Daylilies Buy George (Florida), Ed Hartsell (KY), and Paul Owen (Slightly Different Nursery, N. Carolina). More great daylilies, extra fans, and nice bonus daylilies included! The best news is that most are planted!

We received more daylilies today. Farmerbell sent a very nice TF of Abilene Lillian. We had won a DF on the Lily Auction. We also got the daylilies that we had ordered from Judy Davisson (N. Carolina). She sent DFs of one of her 2012 Fall Intros and a 2013 Spring Intro as bonuses as well as extra fans for all the ones we ordered. We also received our order from Brown's Ferry (Charles & Heidi Douglas) along with three bonuses. Roots are soaking in water and SuperThrive and awaiting planting tomorrow.

Good to hear! I'm also hoping for my order very soon from Browns Ferry. I received my order from Blue Ridge about two days ago, but my sis is visiting so I'm very slowly getting them planted. The roots have been soaking for a couple of days now, and I think I still have something like three to plant.

I really like this time of year -- it's like Christmas when I get those orders!

Betty, you will probably get yours from Brown's Ferry soon, possibly this week. Because of their cool March and April, they had to push back their initial shipping to this week to give the daylilies time to recover from winter.

Thanks Doris -- Can't wait to get them. I ordered three of Heidi's new diploid introductions that have ROSE F. KENNEDY as the pollen parent: DATING A ROYAL, MEME'S TUITTI FRUITTI, and DANCE WITH SOMEBODY, and I have special spots saved for each of them in my garden beds. I really love those huge green throats!

We got DATING A ROYAL and MEME'S TUITTI FRUITTI along with several from their general sale list (WHALE TAILS, COACH'S HOT LIPS, SWALLOW TAIL KITE, DON HERRELL, and CAT DANCER). I wanted DANCE WITH SOMEBODY but decided that I had already spent too much on daylilies and needed to put on the brakes. Secretly, I was thinking that maybe they would bring DWS when they came to a daylily meeting near us in early April, and I could get it then if the price did not go too high. As it turned out, we did not go to that meeting. We needed to stay home and work outside. So, maybe one day we will acquire it. I look forward to your pictures to see if it is as pretty as the hybridizer's picture. We got two of the bonuses that I had listed on our order form and one other: Heidi Ho, Goose Creek Bill and Barbara, and Bedouin Tattoo. I do not know where I am going to plant DAR and MTF right now. I'd like to plant them in the same bed as ROSE F. KENNEDY and EMERALD STARBURST, but it is full of really great dips (Tim Herrington's green throated daylilies, Carpenter's patterned daylilies, and the front has lots of minis). We also have another one that has the huge green throat, SENATOR EDWARD M. KENNEDY (Doorakian), coming in May that will go in this bed. Such a dilemma...

Received my first orders of the season today. EXCITING!!!

Very nice fans from our own Fred today! What can I say about Fred that hasn't already been said! His plants, communication are excellent! I am very pleased!!! I have them soaking & will pot everything up tomorrow.

First order ever from June Singeltary at Jammin's Daylily Gardens. Fans rival any of the "big boys" for size. Generous with extra fans, which I prefer instead of a bonus! June is just getting her daylily business established & I would recommend her very highly! I told her that I will be a customer for as long as I am able to garden!

Just like Christmas at my house today!!!

I got my order from Browns Ferry today -- a great order, and they included another intro, MEME'S GARDEN PARTY, as a gift plant. Can't wait to get them planted, and I'm soaking the roots overnight first. I had originally ordered just DATING A ROYAL and MEME'S TUITTI FRUITTI, and then a couple of months later after thinking a lot about it I contacted them to see if it was too late to order DANCE WITH SOMEBODY. And luckily Amy said they had just a couple left, so I was thrilled to get one of them. And I believe all three of them are now sold out.

Glad you got them, Betty! MEME'S GARDEN PARTY is very pretty. We are all looking forward to your pictures.

David battled heavy rain to get us home from the Middle Georgia Hemerocallis Society meeting today. The trip that took us 2 1/2 hours this morning took 3 hours to get home coming through busy Atlanta on I-75. Now that we are home, we can say the trip was well worth the ride. John Peat was the guest hybridizer. He brought with him some of his introductions as well as some from the Kinnebrews and Jamie and Dianna Gossard. We came home with 5 of the Gossards' 2013 Introductions. There were only 22 members present and 36 daylilies auctioned. We got:

WOW I recieved my order from Stan and Bonnie Holley this morning it was for three daylilies they included three more as gift plants. I was wondering why the box was so large the plants I ordered were all clumps and even one of the gift plants was a clump. Coming from CA the fans are large which I expected but Smile Again fans are giants I think I will need a seperate bucket just for that one.

I ordered for the Holley's as well. I think they will come today. I ordered seeds from them too. They were the best seeds, I think everyone germinated.

Goldcoast (the Holleys) are the best! It is like Christmas when we receive their daylilies.

Speaking of receiving daylilies, the mail truck just left something up here at the house. Could it be more daylilies???!!! We are expecting three shipments this week. Better go see what we got! :hurray
