I couldn't hold out any longer and pulled my Geraniums out from the crawl space yesterday! Trimming them back and potting them up is one of my favorite March activities. I ended up with 53 pots. Three did not survive their hibernation. Several I had to split into two or three because they had just become so big. This will be year three for most of them. A few it is year four. I splurged and bought some last year so this will be their second year.

I used to have to take them into work and put them on the sunny window ledges there because I did not have room at home. My coworkers really enjoyed visiting them daily to see the new growth and to point out the first buds.

Jennifer, what are the blue trays and where did you get them? They're not sleds are they? I have used up all my flats, all my styrofoam meat trays and anything else flat and sturdy I could find to put my paper pots on. We are almost finished with the last ( for now) plug tray, #13 (288 plugs). Next round will be next Thurs. but much less, only about for trays.

What a GREAT idea! I don't think they even sell sleds down here. I'll pick up a couple next time I come...wait, that will be spring, no sleds then! Bummer!!! I may steal yours! LOL!

Yes Karen, my husband asked me if I planned to use them to haul plants around! Maybe just the clay I dig out.

In winter, in snowy areas, all the stores sell those plastic toboggans and sleds cheap. I bought mine at the grocery for around $8.

We RARELY have snow, and almost never any that stays on the ground, so they don't sell them around here. Sad
