We did get snow and it is mostly melted with only afew spots in the shade with a small amount of snow still on the ground. I just heard on the weather that we may get any inch of snow overnight into tomorrow.
I have only these few iris reticula blooms. I don't know why only so few as I planted 100 each of Harmony and Aldia. All in the small area there in my front yard.
I have found first year bulbs to be a bit fussy and they come up at differing times , but in subsequent years they get their act together and bloom in chorus. Give them time
Oh that is good to know. This is my first time I have had them as I only planted my first ever this past Fall. I have seen pictures for years and always thought I should get some as they are so pretty.
I read somewhere that they are short loved which surprised me. I thought they where like crocus. Plant them and those come up year after year.
I have not experienced ''short lived '' I have patches here that have multiplied and been in the same place 10 + years.Maybe that was written of some of the newer ones? I know some newer tulips are that way.

Both Harmony (registered before 1953) and Alida (1990) are older so hopefully are multipliers and not short lived.
