Would love to see your photos. Most of these guys are over 20 years old. Some planted in the crowns of the palms. Most are Philo Selloum Some are hybrids.Thumb of 2013-03-07/eriktampabay/7cc413

I had to respond to this post, your split leaf is gorgeous & huge.I don't know much about them except my hubby loves them & every time he see's one he says something.I have told him they are tropical and not hardy to our zone and i would have to pot it & overwinter it and we simply don't have enough room to bring it in every year.

I do grow a pot of 2 different varieties the plain green 'heart leaf' hederaceum v. oxycardium & 'mican' scandens micans.I believe i named them correctly, they live nicely together and hang about 4-5 ft. long.

I could just not say how beautiful your plants are!!! Thumbs up
A green thumb comes only as a result of the mistakes you make while learning to see things from the plants point of view!!

Wow, I agree with everyone else ... gorgeous Philo's! I just grow the small house plant variety of Philodendron; although at our other house that we currently rent out there are a few P. bipinnatifidum (Tree Philodendron): Tree Philodendron (Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum) planted in the ground. They were there when we bought the property in 1975 and I think those are about the only Philo's that do well here in this part of Florida. They've been knocked down by freezes over the years but always come back.

Thank you. We do a hybrid of the P. bipinnatifidum If you see the photo above with my hand on the leaf that is the hybrid. It has been untouched by any freeze we have had.
