Neoporteria has 7 entries in the database. It appears genus is now classified in the Eriosyce genus. Eriosyce is a group of mainly globose species with ribbed stems and dense rigid spines. The genus has expanded to now include Neoporteria, Neochilenia and Islaya. (http://www.thesucculentgarden....) I wonder if those 7 should be re-classified now?

Thanks, jmorth. I started to look into that after reading one of your photo captions. It looks like Kew's WCSPF is still reviewing these genus. I will need to do more homework. Nice link by the way, thanks.
