They're beautiful Kate! You didn't bore us at all - it gave us something to look forward to. I love the shell/fossil/rocks in the plantings. And also love that you identified them all for us. There are a bunch that I'm not familiar with so it'll be fun watching them grow up. I've seen pictures of calcareum 'Extra' and that is a lovely plant with those dark purple tips. 'Red Spider' looks interesting, and 'Fiery Furness' too. Be sure to add pictures to the database. Great plantings Kate!
How wonderful Kate. The tubs all planted.
They are beautiful, and ready for those baby semps to grow up and start families.
I love the fossils, double interest to the planting.
And what a great selection of types you have. Can't wait to see who that Apricot develops.
Thanks all, I'm very impatient to see how they'll look when they grow bigger and start having chicks. I've had the fossils lying around since I collected them on college field trips, more years ago than I care to remember, so it was nice to see them having a use. I'll give them chance to settle in (and also for the rain to stop ) and I'll take lots of pics to add to the database.
That's the only fake lynn, I do have one almost identical to it, but it was one I bought rather than found, and it was quite expensive so I wont leave it out in the garden.
Kate I'm only just now seeing this thread!! Hooray!! You haven't bored me at all, I've been waiting and wondering! Your photos are great and I too love that you've ID'd them, makes me think even I can do that (using photo editor or whatever )
Very nice!
Cheers and yes please on updates!
Thanks Greg, I just can't wait for them to start filling in a bit now. I used photobucket (free site) and it was surprisingly easy once I got the hang of it.
