The 1st is definitely an LO Pink jazz's flowers face out/downwards.

He probably got his stock from that famous name importer/seller--we all know who that is.

An LO for sure! Trouble is in most cases someone actually looking for this particular lily will have a good idea what it looks like. The lily pictured will be luck to top 3 ft!

Tracey how is your PinkJazz doing? Has B&D had it for sale lately?

'Pink Jazz' has done very, very well for me. I think the last I heard from B & D is that they were working to propagate it and it would take a few years. You could always email them for an update. Lynette from Valley K in Canada also offered it a few times, for a much better price, like $15 or so. So it is some place to watch for it.

Valley K had them last fall in limited quantity. I snapped up a couple. I'd definitely check them out this fall.

It's all about money! If there ever is a mistake by somebody I trust, at least I know it's an honest mistake and I can understand that because I have a mixup myself once in a while too.

About the e-bay lily with dark center.
I always look at the background and leaves in a photo to see if the "contrast" has been fiddles with.That one sure lookes "shopped"
The photo looks similar to other images of the same lily.
Websites usually buy images from a "image bank" thats how there can be several vendors with the same shopped photo.

Yah, Check out the one they all use for Trebbiano. It's not even the right cultivar!! That same picture has been floatin' around for years.

I feel sorry for the hap-less shopper who believes what they see.

Thanks ge1836. Now that I see the 'blue flash' picture in the other thread, I wonder if that is the cultivar that has been photoshopped for the ebay advert.

I also check the plant database for images from gardeners who photograph their own plants.
I would trust a database photo before anything on the web.
