I remember one of my first few iris from Keith -- "Caramba" and "Autumn Leaves" i recieved as a club door prizes in my Region 4 meeting of the Francis Scott Key Iris club in 1977
....waaay back when

I grow hundreds and hundreds of varieties, including many pinks, and "Playing our Song" is unlike any in my collection - thats for sure

I was just thinking the other day that I wonder when you'd be posting some pictures from you trip. What a nice bunch of intros. Wow, I don't even know where to begin commenting, as they are all amazing. I agree that Playing Our Song is a wonderful pink, and those amazing luminatas, I'm going to have to have them all, and then Central Intelligence! Takes my breath away! Look at the branching and bud count! I better start saving money now. I also better start identifying what I'm going to be culling to make room.

I ,too,love Playing Our Song.However,there are others I want.I have a case of I WANT,and it isn't even 22 yet and 5 months until bloom.I have to cull,so little room for new.

I have the space at the place I'm living currently, it's just budget. I left a delivery driver job I had and cut my pay by almost a 1/3. It's ok though as I'm happier not driving almost 50 hours a week. I can still do the irises, but have to be selective in the order I get them as I'm saving for a house too.

Richard: The fact that you have to be more selective may bless you in the end Maybe your garden will be filled with blooms of what you REALLY REALLY love when it is all said and done.

I know I need to be more selective. I do need to cut the list down some.

Elsa .. It really is a unique color of pink really jumps out in the garden as you can see from the landscape shot of it that one you won't miss it when its in bloom

Tom..Lots of Pictures coming weather has been really nice here 60's all last week so still busy with work but it's December and snow will start flying before long definitely ready for a break and some computer time to share pictures.

Richard.. a couple of those you highlighted my pictures don't do them justice the Neglecta Royal Heir is Outstanding I don't have many pictures of it because its really late the stalks on it are fantastic .. The other one Grand Noble is much better then my pictures as well it has more blue on the falls and really looks good when the sun hits it both of these 2 are must haves

Kindred is a beautiful one. I went thru my list else and took out approximately 47 irises and down to about 230 from 280.

Kindred sure makes itself visible in the garden! How brilliant.

Coal Tar is an IB. He also has a new orange SDB: Orange Peel.

I really like Flatlander and Underlined.

I order for the club members auction in early Aug. That is helpful as I won't be buying new plants at my new home at my daughter's house in WA state. It is hard enough to transfer plants to keep, mainly John's & my dwarf & median intros. That said in spite of being 'plicata man', that: new TB pink is fantastic.

My favorites...

'Playing Our Song'.. This one looks outstanding, and if it performs well, that's just icing on the cake.
'Stormscape'.. not even sure what to call this color... Pumpkin brulee??
'Underlined'... intriguing
'Sundown Glow'.. different from all the other luminatas I have.
I love the pattern on 'Flatlander', but am not a fan of horizontal falls..
'High Achiever' is nice too… lovely form, and the peachy standards over blue is unique.
