I bought two supposedly Heucheras last year and they have survived the winter. Now when looking them both up. I am not sure if they are actually Heucheras or Heucherellas. I planted two Purple Palace in the garden just the other day, they have been in the cold frame and were just starting to show new growth.

Heuchera 'Circus' has got to be one of the best Heuchera ever. I can't get over how quick it rebounded from zero degrees and piles of sleet on top of it!

Looks great, mine all look flat and brown right now after a very rough winter.

Clint ..

Did you have it planted in shade ? If so, was it dense shade, dappled shade or ???

Also, since I am new to heucheras, when did you feed it ? and what do you feed the plant ?

Smiles,
Lyn

I didn't feed it at all except for composted cow manure. It is in a spot that gets afternoon sun. The Hydrangeas wilt there but do ok.

Thank you, Clint.

I think I need to move one of mine to a site where it gets a little more sun.

Clint I lost my Circus. I only lost two this year I put them all in coir pot liners. Mixed up some rich compost and added gravel. Placed them in the garden and put mulch around them so they would look like they were planted in the ground.

Before I put the mulch on I put large flat stones around the base of the plant to help prevent winter heaving.

I lost Circus and Snow Angel. I lost the first S.Angel and I was trying it again. I do no think that one is good for my climate I will not buy it again. I will buy Circus again because that might have been my fault I planted it close to the edge of the driveway bed and that was where we throw the salt and snow from the driveway.
