Julie

Very nice - your pictures are gorgeous - I use the term 'turkey neck' because that is the term my Grandmother always used in conjunction with her African Violets. My heuchs are doing the same as the African Violets and they are all stem that is much higher than they should be. They haven't heaved, just 'turkey necked'.

I may just divide them - that would actually solve another issue in that I have lost a number of heuchs with the hot dry summers we have had in the last couple of years. I am envious of Julias weather, which is perfect for heuchs.

I love your kitty too. What a beauty. Pet him for me. Smiling

Julie, your hercs are beautiful. The ones I have in the ground look like as what others have described. Many of mine look dead there are no leaves. It sure does not look like they are showing any proof of live. So dividing would be useless for me right now. I will see what happens.

The ones I purchased at the end of the season that I posted in my pot post here are huge and look like they never went to sleep for the winter.

I did not do any winter protection of the pots they sat on the side of my driveway all winter. I picked them up so cheap I did not worry about losing them. Now I am happy I have them to fill in the blanks. But the new ones are going in pots. I am not going to plant any more directly in the garden. I am not getting good survival rate in ground growing.

Looks like a bit of a slivery veil on the leaves. Funny how cameras pick up different colors. Really pretty.

Julia, very pretty. They are doing good. The ones I have in the ground did good this year because of all the unusual rain we have had this summer. The ones I planted last year died because we had 90 degree heat and drought conditions all summer. There is something about rain water that tap water cannot supply.

Thanks! I accidently hit my stainless steel with some spray from the pressure washer and I thought I killed it. Has bounced right back. I believe rain water is better too. We had a good rain here and everything looks much better. It's been dry here this summer.

Very nice Julia.

Funny how that works, isn't it? Our spring and summer have been so cool and wet this year.
