Seriously, winter sowing is probably the best bet, as long as you're planting in place, because they really don't like being transplanted. And they do best in full sun. At least here. Depending on what the weather is like where you are, now might be a really good time to direct sow some seeds.

Think I'll go out there and do some direct sowing today!! Probably Poppies and HollyHocks. I've cleaned up one spot for these so far!! Lot's more cleaning to do.
