They look like lovely strong healthy plants Clint Lovey dubby

I'm very disappointed with my latest order. It came today, but was so poorly packed that one of the jovi's is smashed to high heaven and S. Sun waves is badly damaged too, a lot of it's leaves are broken off or damaged so that they will come off before too much longer, and it's poor little chick hidden right down the side of the pot because it had no room to grow is also badly damaaged. It made my heart ache to see them in such aa state Crying Needless to say I've sent them an email of complaint. Angry

Yes, I love to see the compact ones like that. They look so different as they start to open up and change colours.

I hope so, I know that they will recover, but it's too bad that beautiful plants were crushed together like that.

Clint nice plants!!
Kate, I would recommend taking all the broken/damaged leaves off carefully and place the plant somewhere it won't get any water, leave them like that for a week, and the plant as normal, its amazing what they will recover from! Still I hope you get a new plant, but the broken ones will probably recover! I tip my hat to you. I tip my hat to you.

Good advice Greg.
So sorry to hear of the poor packaging Kate. I had that happen just once in all the orders I've placed over the years. Can you take a photo of before and after for us? Before repair and after?

I know that they'll recover, but its just upsetting to see what were once beautiful plants so poorly treated. I took some photos last night incase the nursery asked for some, I'll up load them when I'm home this evening.

UPDATE The nursery came good and will be sending me replacements of the damaged ones on Monday. The only problem now is that I'm going to need more new pots. last weeked I was standing in line waiting to pay for 2 terracotta pots and all I could see was THAT youtube video playing in my head. I must not buy more semps untill I have suitable homes for them. No way will I be starring in 'Pot lady 2 - a silent movie' Hilarious!

Kate, link please, or did I miss the link somewhere?
Okay, so now that we know the nursery is reputable, tell us which one it is. This can happen with any of the good nurseries, what makes the difference is if they fix the problem. That makes them a GREAT nursery. Thumbs up

Lynn, it's on one of the other threads, I'm pretty sure you've seen it - creepy silent video of big garden aboslutely over run with terracotta pots, most of them have semps in. I'll see if I can find which thread it's on.

http://www.perhillplants.co.uk... this is the site for the nursery, I agree that they went the extra mile promising replacements, although I can't help thinking that it could have been avoided. It would have been obvious to whoever packed them that the box was too small, they must have had to cram them in. Blinking Still, alls well that ends well, and now I'll have some extras to share once the original ones have recoverd.

Kate - there's always the roof for extra planting space nodding Whistling I'm working on my building letting me access my roof (using terra cotta pots) for planting veggies, as well as expanding my semps! (only the manager and I would have access so they'd all be safe!) And it would be full sun :P I tip my hat to you.
