Just bring them to me! in Pliers for Your Garden

Use regular pliers to pull weeds that have long tap roots, especially sticky ones like briars. Put the nose of the pliers right at ground level to grab the weeds. I find them very good to pull the many baby oak trees that fill my garden each year.

Whoa, I LOVE Texas Dandelion...have since I was a little kid! I find the idea of killing them to be somehow disturbing! Okay, there's some weeds I DO hate, so I understand about weeds being pesky. Just not those!

Our front lawn is full of dandelions and I really DON'T like them. My son dug some up for me, but I'm going to take the pliers after the rest. Have more dandelions than grass at the moment. We must have different kind than Texas.

I had to look up the Texas Dandelion to see what the difference was and I actually saw some pictures of it that were beautiful. Ever since I've joined the forum, I've had a new perspective of "weeds".

Seriously though, that is a great hand saving idea! I pull out LOTS of baby Rose of Sharon starts in my flower bed and I'm going to try the pliers this year:)
