Valery lives in Ukraine and I know that all of her gardening friends are heartbroken to see the ravages of war being waged on her country right now. 💔 Valery's last post was Feb. 5th and I pray that she and her family are safe and that at some point she will be able to join us here on garden.org again.

I am very new to gardening and to this site. But I was thinking of her too, she recommended me a navy blue iris a few weeks ago. When I heard they took the nuclear plant in Zaporizhzhya I didn't know it was her city, until I saw some of her iris pictures.
I have Ukraine in my prayers, and Valery too.

We need God's mercy.

Bless Valeria and all Ukrainians. Her beautiful iris posts have spurned me on this last year to try new blooms.

I knew there was a Ukranian member on the forums but I couldn't remember who it was until now. So hoping that she and all others will be all right. This is a terrible, terrible thing that has happened, know all of us at NGA are sending thoughts and prayers that this senseless war on Ukraine will end quickly.

Good afternoon! I am very touched by the care and participation, thank you for the kind words! I couldn't access the site, as there was no Internet for a long time, but today it appeared. Everything is calm in my city. The nuclear power plant is indeed located 40 km from my city. As soon as the Russian troops began to control the nuclear power plant, we calmed down, realizing that now nothing threatens us. I hope for the end of the civil war in my strife-torn country, the peace and tranquility of its citizens after it. I hope for the best, I wish you all peace, happiness and kindness!

Oh I am so glad you are fine, Valery! I can't wait to see more of your beautiful iris. I saw 2 photos , they are so pretty. I espeically like the purple one.

In two or three months, varieties of many new irises will bloom. I want to see them as soon as possible! I'll post all the photos
