Ok, so I want to hear from people about what rocks or other planter things they're finding! Photos too!! Springcolor shared a couple of things she's found, a shelf and a 4 shelf cart!!! I think those were posted on Pacific North west gardening forum. Just curious what people come up with! I will begin looking for 2 large long skinny rocks!

LOL!! I was pruning a small weeping crab yesterday and there is this little walkway going by it that the former owners put down. It is more visual than functional. As I was stepping on it and the stones were wobbling about I decided hey, this would make a great semp planter if I pull it up and put these in vertical! So, if spring EVER gets here I'll start that project!!

Ooh!! Jennifer I like that!! I know I'm going to do that, I just have to figure out where in my yard that it'll work! I may do what Clint said about planting this in a large pot - which I just happen to have

Oh yeah, that is right. I don't have many semps. Hadn't thought about that. I'll just go see my Grandma. I'm sure she'd be happy to give me some of her houseleeks.

I was very close to bringing a wire mesh tray home from work today - it would make a good vertical planter. But I resisted for today, don't know if i'll be that stong tomorrow lol

Greg, How about making your own rocks? Blue fox has some excellent ways to do so. You could make your crevice rocks

Thanks Marilyn! I'm trying to avoid learning a new "thing" For now anyway! I'll probably use quick dry cement for some projects, but I'm wanting to see what I can actually "find" or have friends find for me, for building a unique planting space!!

Marilyn that is a great idea. Of course that would work, after seeing what tabby did with hers. And it wouldn't be back breaking work since the styrofoam weighs just about nothing.
