[I split this thread out from another because I wanted to be sure everyone saw it. Not everyone here is aware that you can gold star a post.]
---

I try to limit the number of stickies. I used to have one thread at the top with a listing of posts and sources... maybe I need to do that again.

What I did do, for myself, is I "gold starred" the post. Down in the lower right, if you give a post a gold star (it is grey till you click it then it turns gold) you can go to your profile and look under your "info" and you can click on the number of "stars" you have given and it will take you to a list of them. Same with your thumbs up given.

you will have to click this image for it to make sense. In this example the "43" is clickable.

[edit by Juli - Mona is referring to the information in the original post that I split this thread from - which did have a lot of excellent technical information!]

Hi Juli, I just found this thread and I love it. I had some of the same questions last summer. Excellant info.

Just an idea, could you start a Daylily Educational sticky where info like this could be put??

Char and I have been working behind the scenes on organizing some stickies. I used to have one that had a lot of info - but I never got any comments on it, so I thought I needed to re-think it and re-do it.

Mona, you can gold star posts, or the first post in a thread to "bookmark" it - sort of - LOL.... then you go to your preferences/profile page and there is a list of starred pages. Its very handy when you see posts anywhere on the site that you want to remember later on!

Juli, As you know, I have to be lead by the hand, but are you talking about giving an article a "thumbs up". That's all I could find to do on the first post in this thread and then went to my profile like you said and found it under my "thumbs up". If this isn't what you mean, please lead me down the path again. I'm sorry I'm so dense! Thanks Juli, you are so greatly appreciated, Mona

just to the left of the thumbs up is a grey star. when you click it that turns gold. I use that for those extra special posts. I'm splitting this gold star info away from the original post so we don't get to far off topic, and so more people will see it. I think the gold star is an important tip that many may not know about.

Thanks Juli!!! I finally opened my eyes and saw the little grey star. Being me, I totally shut out the grey star while looking for a gold one, DDDDDDUUUUUUUUUUUU.

Works like a charm. I look forward to ya'll treating us to something new. It's always good.

Blessings to you and yours, Mona
