Has anyone here grown this tomato? I ordered two to give them a try since I never heard of them before.
Lycopersicon Tomato - Cherry: Lycopersicon esculentum Husky Cherry Red
Tomato Husky Cherry Red is an upright plant that can be grown staked or caged without pinching. The fruit is 1 oz in size and is great in a tossed salad or as a healthy snack. It is disease tolerant to Fusarium Wilt Race 1 and Verticillium. Also, is resistant to Alternaria Stem Canker and Gray Leaf Spot.

It is a very popular tomato around here, or at least I should say it is sold everywhere there are tomato seedlings. The big box stores always carry lots of Husky Red.

I have grown it and personally did not care for it. Produces small tomomatoes and not very many. I don't remember anything exceptional about the taste either. Not ever going to get it again.

I have the two ordered and will see how they do here and if we like the taste. I will have plenty of other tomato plants so we will not be missing out on tomatoes. Glad you let me know of your experience Rita.
