I cannot find the above in the database. Would be grateful if it is added, if no objections.

Arif.

I tip my hat to you. Cant the database be made to understand synonym's and issue a redirect somehow? After all synonym's are accepted and registered as such.
Regards,
Arif.

That would certainly make sense. Plant names are constantly changing and it is almost impossible to keep up with. Many of us still refer to at least some plants by names that are now considered synonyms.

It would have recognized it and redirected you if the name had been spelled correctly, Arif. It's stapeliiformis, not stapeliaeformis. Smiling

This is the right answer. I found it by searching the proper spelling and it came right up. The synonyms are searched along with everything else.

That misspelling appears to be fairly common. Would it be worth while to include it as a secondary synonym?

Misspellings don't qualify as synonyms, but they can be added as "also sold as" names.

I was just thinking that since the misspelling is fairly common, it might be nice to include it such that it would come up in a search. "Also sold as" would be a good place to include it. Of course, we can't include every misspelling, but this one seems to be somewhat prevalent. Just my 2 cents. Smiling
