I just bought this plant and wanted to double check on how to care for it.

I won't be putting it outside for anotehr 4 weeks, but when I do I want to handle it correctly

In the Database it says: "Shade and salt" ???????"

Marilyn, that must be a typo. No salt Hilarious! You bought yourself a beauty. This one is a beautiful variegated form but the center of the leaves with turn pinkish in cold weather. Good drainage is a must and the best place for it would be dappled sunlight. Like under a deciduous tree. You will have to watch for winter heaving with freeze thaw cycles in your area. Heuchera do not have a large root system.

I have several divisions which have been in 6+ hours of sun per day for several years. Doing great and I've since divided again. I don't know how much frost heaving you get in CO but here we get lots and springcolor is spot on. Always tamping down about now. Oh, and they're in a raised bed.
