Oh, I assumed that was the "after" photo. Just with fewer plants, did not look back at the old posts though.

Logs are nice accents for the garden regardless, don't cha think? Hilarious!

I think I will enjoy my empty log much better now that I don't have to worry about it so much. Remember that saying, "If you love something, set it free"...?

This is some really deep thinking going on here. It may take me awhile to process it. Sticking tongue out

I am not into deep thinking and I am not quite ready to set my log free,
I will see how it does into the fall and hope it survives the winter.

But Bev, I think it is better to just enjoy the empty log as a piece of nature's art
than to deal with the aggravation of tipping it over often. Oh I wanted to update you on my rock planting.

This one is the one I followed Bev's suggestion to use wooly thyme and it worked pretty well. The other I tried to plant with some sedum and a baby semp ... it is still looking pretty scruffy. This one I lke in my Ajuga bed.

Come on, Marilyn; we do read your deep-thinking-typing; you just won't admit to doing it! Big Grin

All the deep thinking made my head hurt, so I quite.
Just enjoying the wonderful rock photo from Marilyn. Great suggestion Bev for the thyme.

I'm afraid my log planter is just a log now. But a very cute, and tiny log. I do still see one tiny arach semp in it. Hmmm, wonder if it will colonize over the winter?

I have to carve out the space first, and I don't have a good full sun spot to put them in...yet! Come late Sept, I'll move them over with the other stuff!! Thumbs up
