That is a very cute blue color! Feels so cool to look at Lovey dubby

My other amaryllis, growing outdoors is finally showing its blooms, at last after over a year of waiting Hurray! I wish it will also make itself later into 4 blooms instead of just two.
Thumb of 2013-04-23/tarev/dab710

And the other amaryllis indoors has continued on to show its full bloom too. Really like this one, very generous bloomer, this being the 2nd stalk and making 4 blooms.

I was just sitting outside, looking at it and since the house is white, I was playing with the idea of using all blue and white flowers...but realized I couldn't give up all of the other plants for just that one idea...lol..

I have an amaryllis just now in bud....I'll be watching it....

I'm liking this one more and more now that it's gaining size and I can see using it as a sub-shrub rather than just a potted pel....

I bought this as 'Firecracker' some years ago...could be wrong name. I love the way the bright orange / yellow combo pops against the green...

Yes, Carol...it does get large....though I imagine it could be kept in bounds with pruning, depending on how small you'd want it to be.....

How big of a pot? I'd do it in a 5 gal......you could keep it pruned by making your own smudge sticks from the prunings...lol..it has that wonderful native salvia scent.

Sherry, Do you remember where you found Pelargonium 'sparkle'? I looked at the annual spring garden show last Thurs, and there was a vendor there, but no sparkle. I'm getting tired of fussy plants.

The first time I smelled it, I got confused because the scent reminded me of my hymenocallis, but that one is still in its leafy stage. Only when I put the container at eye level did I finally smell it was from the red/white amaryllis. Big Grin
