I so enjoyed all these Tulip postings. Seeing some gems that I haven't tried. Thanks. I will post a link to my 2013 Tulip Album soon as well as the Narcissus one. Just been too busy to get it all labeled correctly. Patti

Tulips have been blooming since April 9th and this French Blend Single late tulips are the last of the tulips blooming here. I do love this mix and have already ordered 300 more to plant this fall. The late tulips don't return here for me.
They are on the daylily slope and are looking very pretty.

I like that Florette one. Very pretty,. I do appreciate the single lates because they finish up the tulip show.

The last of my single late tulips today.

Do you know what the tulip is in the second to last pic. It's is the center of the pic/flowerbed. It's the yellowish one with a reddish rose flame in the center of the petal. Especially gorgeous! Lovey dubby Thumbs up

That is the single late mix from Colorblends so again, don't know the individual tulip. French blend tulips.

This looks like the tulip I was talking about, at least it comes close to looking like it.

http://www.whiteflowerfarm.com...

They state early midseason for bloom for this Darwin Hybrid.

I can tell you that is definitely not it. This is a single early tulip which came with Scheepers Early Tulip mix. So not a Darwin.

I tip my hat to you.

I might have to get Scheepers Early Tulip mix next year! Thumbs up

Was it the Tulip Single Finest Mixture? http://www.johnscheepers.com/f... 100/$41.75

I noticed a big difference in price between Scheepers and Van Engelen if you were to buy 100 of this mix. http://www.vanengelen.com/flow... 100/$28.000

Marilyn, yes that was it.

I usually just say Scheepers but I order from Van Engelen when I need those larger quantities.

I've been wondering if the tulip in the single early mix that I was talking about is 'Christmas Orange' http://www.johnscheepers.com/f... Just a thought.

It's the closest to what they offer if they're including what they offer in the mix.

But then when I looked at the pic that McClure & Zimmerman have on their site of Christmas Orange, I know it's not the same (as the tulip in your mix pic) http://www.mzbulb.com/dp.asp?p...

Don't know but to me your picture looks softer and mine more vivid reddish. You could just ask Scheepers if you really need to know.
