I just decided what I want to do with this pot ... which is contingent upon Loews having more of The Hens & Chicks. I am going put a little pot of the H&C in each one holes. Maybe a vine in the top of the pot? Look at how the chicks have grown since Sunday

Niiicce semp. Sylvia. Any ID to it? I like your idea. Can I make a suggestion? since holes are so big would you consider some contrasting sedum to peek out of the holes that semps are in even with all the babies? I suggest this only because the babies are the same color as the moms...unless you are going for the monochromatic look? Have fun!
Casually I don't know if every Lowes do this. I remember when lowes frst came to Dallas, they mark down hundreds of fruit trees.. I don't remember what times of year, but someone said they were familiar here. This is the 1st store to arrive in Dallas, in competition with HD. and its in the ritzy section of town. I am going to ask my girlfriends what happen in their areas, What am I saying my girlfriends don't garden unless they are DG'er.
Anyway I had Peach trees, pear trees, Mimosa trees. I lived in a Town house and I had a 800 sq ft patio so they all were in pot ... the birds ate all the peaches off the trees I gave them to my DG buddy.

Sylvia, Won't give you plant names because I think it would be easier for you to take one pot of your semps and go to any store/nursery and put your pot next to a sedum that may appeal to your pretty eyes. Pick out what looks good in color and think size scale because the holes are big and don't know whether pot is really big. Like I said, look at what's available and what looks good with your semp color. That way you aren't running around looking for something you only have a name for.
Also if the sedum chosen is a cascading type (and some will do that just by growing and having nowhere else to go but down and out) your terracotta sides might get covered so vine on top is not necessarily needed if you were putting it there for that cascading/covering up purpose. Of course if you have a beautiful vine in mind then don't worry about sedum on long stems in the pockets. You can pick a more compact one. Here's some of my sedums in my pots:
Lastly, the top could be treated like a separate container planting. You could connect with the pockets by definitely including the pocket semp type on top and plant around that but that semp would be only one element of your overall planting on top.
I am going to be shopping! I sure like the one at the bottom right. I use to have some of that above it, Sheila in Ft worth gave me some, I wonder what happen to. It ? It came back for years, well I will ask her for more. I think I am more worried about breaking the pot Than any thing else
Lynn I like that red one in your picture What the name of that one
