I'm in the Buckwheat section of Sustainable Seeds and in trying to add, got this message:

http://garden.org/plants/add.p...

This is where I'm getting the information:

I think I'm in over my head Whistling *Blush*

I don't see a message when I click on your link. Do you mean you were returned to the "adding a plant" page? That's happened in the past when people have neglected to enter a genus.

When I clicked on -add the plant - a message came up and said it didn't think it was a real plant and to send a message to the plant moderators. So I "thought" I sent a link of the - add a plant - page and what I had entered in addition to the link to Sustainable seeds.

I'll figure out which plant it was as I add images to the new plants.

I put those on my desktop so I can keep going. Whatever plant is left after I've added all the images, I'll know which one it was and try and add it again and if I get that message again, I'll save it. Thumbs up

No worries....we'll figure it out, eh?

So sorry for any trouble....

Maybe you misspelled it. Fagopyrum tataricum does exist in our database, so you shouldn't have received a message like that one.

I wonder if I mis-spelled the genus.

Madawaska is the cultivar.

I'll try and add it again in a bit and see what happens.

Sorry about repeating on the mis-spelling. Whistling

I just tried again and this is the message I get - same as before:

It appears that this genus is not valid. If you are certain that it is a valid genus, please post a message to the Plants Admins requesting that it be added. In the message, please let them know all the fields you entered.

So I did a cut and paste from your post above on the genus and it still said no.

I think this grain must not belong in the database. Shrug!

I did look back at my system messages and I have added other images in the Buckwheat family but the cultivars were already in the database.
