I noticed one of my semps looked like it has stripes on it. I looked for obvious signs of damage as a cause, but there doesn't seem to be any. 2 of the leaves has this odd colouration just at the edges of the leaf, and the other 2 have a stripe right along the centre. Anyone seen this before?

Nice. Drooling Be sure to follow that one and its offsets. Perhaps down the road the feature will become more common and pronounced.

Over here, across the pond, some of us have been working on polka-dotted semps (actually "speckled" but its nice to dream). Some promising developments, but no photos to share so far. It's a little early in the effort.

I hope that it does get more pronounced over future generations, I guess I'll need time and patience to find out.

speckled semps? Now that would be a sight to Drooling over!

I do like it Kate! I have a feeling though that it probably isn't a characteristic that will transfer, seems like soil or light could make something like this happen, especially since its on the same side of the plant...but I can hope (dream) with ya'll too! nodding Group hug

I agree with all, keep an eye on it Kate. That is really interesting.

We are waiting for twit to unveil the new polka dotted semp. We thought we had a good start on it last year. Whistling
