Thank you Dee, Paul, Mona and Dot -- I really love them too, and I just wish they liked me more than they seem to. I usually get one spring bloom out of most of them and then I'm lucky if I ever see blooms on them again. My really hot temps and silty, porous soil -- and I'll admit it -- my laziness at keeping up with everything I'm supposed to do except for watering, keeps the plants pretty small. That's why I ooh and aah so much at everyone else's lush clumps. But at least I'm happy each spring!

Stunning pictures as usual for you. Betty you are a gifted photographer! Keep them coming. It's snowing here on and off today. God only knows when spring will come.

Lovely shots. MARCHING ORDERS is going on my wish list. Still getting snow here over the last few days, so will be awhile before even the dwarf ones bloom.

Betty,

My rhizomes are rather small too. I never feed mine, I know, I know, but there is only so much energy to go around for this old person. I was amazed at how big they were at Tom Burseens. I know he adds some stuff to his soil, plus he is always digging and moving around stuff. Sometimes they just like to be aerated some. I'm sure they would like a little food from time to time, but they bloom and that is all I care about. Well they bloom if they have enough cold here.

Oh Betty, Betty, Betty, you are torturing me! I have noticed that I tend to lean toward Ghio and Blyth blooms the most and your post continues to confirm that leaning.
I am adding to my wish list, love BRAVERY and SPECTACLE, their ruffled and rimmed edges are so cool, and that EYE FOR STYLE sure is a pretty feminine thing! Love the exotic arilbreds too!
Sigh...

I don't have as many as I am posting but have gotten permission from several iris nurseries to add their images. I have been adding Blue J Iris ones lately, doing that off and on for months now, there are over 4,000 that they grow. Blinking Thumbs up

Mona, near the end I will post pictures of irises that I'm not that thrilled with, mainly because of narrower falls and not many ruffles -- but I still have some newer ruffled beauties to post first. And Sue, I can tell that we have very similar taste in ruffles! My absolute favorite form is the incredibly ruffled form that EYE FOR STYLE has, but I haven't found that many that are that totally ruffled for me. Another that comes to mind is STOP FLIRTING, also by Barry Blyth -- oh yes, and Keith's ROARING TWENTIES is like that too.

Most of these pictures were taken at least a few days ago, except for the pictures of REVISION from this morning.

The wowser for this morning is:
REVISION - Keith Keppel - I usually wait until the second day when the blooms are more relaxed to take pictures, but this one seemed really perfect on the first morning. I may have more pictures tomorrow if it changes. This is a large flower, and much prettier in person than my camera can capture.

PALACE SYMPHONY - Blyth
Thumb of 2013-04-21/Betja/3aedf2

INSIDE JOB - Ghio - Looks really blue in my garden

GYPSY GEENA - Blyth - Always a favorite!

FOREVER GOLD - Sutton - Just about the very first to bloom in my garden each spring and is a rebloomer

TUSCAN SUMMER - Keppel

MULBERRY MAGIC - Blyth

EXPLICIT - Ghio - Another early bloomer

And I'll finish with another picture taken this morning of GRAND CLASSIC by Rick Tasco. This is a real beauty, deeper colored and also a little more plum colored than this picture shows. I'm very impressed!
