I miss this information. I thought I might get used to the loss with time, but I haven't. Members' own images connect directly to a wealth of interesting information that can be accessed quickly, just by clicking on the pictures. I'd been in the habit of clicking on images that were posted by members that I know are interested in the same plants I am, and also those that I knew were growing their gardens in similar areas/zones as mine. I rarely use this feature now.

Is there any way that we could reestablish this?

[Whoops! I meant to say "Random Plant" in the header.]

The reason I took that part out is because it was actually doubling the amount of time it took for the page to load. It's complicated to explain why that was the case, but the name of the person who uploaded the photo is stored in a separate place from the plant, and this is why it's computationally expensive to retrieve it.

I have future plans to alter the internals of how the images are stored and once I get passed that, I'll be able to include that information again. In the meantime, you'll just have to click on it to see whose it is.
