I am new to this plant so I have a few questions!

A neighbor gave me one of hers 2 days ago. I do not know what one it is other than it is an older type because she got hers as starts from her mom and this lady is 81. Thumbs up

Problem is that we have now gotten almost 3 inches of rain so the ground is saturated and tonight we have freeze warnings. The bush is still in my garden cart waiting to be planted!! Blinking

Should I go ahead and try to plant or put the shrub in my garage to protect it from the cold and allow the ground more time to dry & try to plant tomorrow. WE have more rain coming maybe on Monday.

I hate to kill it before I even give it a chance....HELP!!!!

I think I'd make sure the root ball is moist, maybe even cover it with compost or something, and roll it in the garage. Planting it in a combination of freezing weather and compacted wet soil would be worse, IMHO. Smiling
