Beautiful Iris Zuzu! I've been, wistfully, admiring your PCI for quite a while. So many of them are outstanding. While reading The Review (Society for Japanese Irises) spring 2013, I was excited to see the Ted (John) White display garden in Minot, Maine listed as having PCI!

In Maine? That's so exciting! So you have a chance of growing them, and I know you'll love them. They're used to summer drought here, so keeping them under an overhang and out of the rain might do the trick

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high. Maine isn't exactly a dry summer or cool winter place. Will email generaljohn today. I remember bay area dry summers. No rain for months.
