Paul -- I just love your *Experiment*!!

And thanks to Paul's avatar -- I ordered *Gypsy Lord* last year and guess what?? -- it's going to bloom for me!! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Can't wait to see it in person!

I also got Secret Rites last year, but haven't seen a bloom stalk on it yet. Yes -- that clump shot is out of this world -- I recognized Brad's photography immediately!! nodding

Arlyn....Canadian Kisses grows well for me. It is not a "flashy" iris but is gently beautiful and I love it. Mary Ann...I love Experiment also and have a few seedlings out of it. You'll love Gypsy Lord and Secret Rites. Thumbs up

Paul, that bed is not even two years old. I am hoping for lotsa growth from the ones I have Whistling But I am planning another bed nearby this spring/ summer... problem is, I want to stick daylilies in there too. last time I did that, I ended up separating the daylilies and iris. It was a good idea in theory to put them together, but the differing water requirements meant that neither did great and they are all much happier being segregated. So I am trying to figure out how I want to plan things to separate them, and which end gets which.... ~Jan

Hurray, I have a bud coming on my SDB Shindig! It's near the house. My really tiny one called Pussy Toes, that ususally is the first to bloom, has nothing showing yet. Might be taking a year off.

Some beauties this AM:

City Lights, I have it growing in front of Euphorbia 'Tasmanian Tiger', behind Iris 'Bayberry Candle' and next to 'Molineux' rose. I always love a yellow/ blue color scheme!

Jan-plant the iris and daylillys in "clumps or sections" within the bed. You get the same affect and can water they different areas as needed.

My first bearded iris of the spring, Forever Blue:

Thumb of 2013-05-01/KentPfeiffer/9c3bc2

It's usually the first to bloom in my garden, but I was still surprised to see it, haven't even seen buds on any of the others.

It was nearly 90 degrees here yesterday and is supposed to snow tonight. Confused
