Our front yard has been lawn free for many years. Plants have had time to either establish or wither and die. This is a great year for this combination cottage, woodland garden and patio/walkway. Here are a few photos of what is blooming now.Thumb of 2013-04-25/Jewell/616e37

Thanks Greg, that photo is of a Prunus glandulosa (Flowering Almond). It is a small shrub in my yard that looks like a few sticks most of the year, Whistling but shines right now. For me all the branches with flowers will die back after flowering and it takes a bit of time for the new growth to show. Sticking tongue out I love the old fashioned reliability of those pink flowers. Green Grin!

Thanks Greg and Stephanie. My garden is on the wild side, but it suits me.

I like that! Figuring how to make a "natural" look is challenging and you succeeded! I tip my hat to you. Hurray!
