Some type of Allium. Do the leaves smell like onion/garlic? Will probably make a flower soon, that would help with ID.
The golden rule: Do to others only that which you would have done to you.

The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The 2nd best time is now. (-Unknown)

Try to be more valuable than a bad example.
Did you plant a bunch of leeks Connie? It would be odd for such a clump of big plants to grow so suddenly unless you planted something. They remind me of leeks going to seed.
Hmmm... The flower heads that look like they could be seed heads in the immediate background are Allium siculum getting ready to bloom.
Now I am leaning towards elephant garlic now because I did have some on the other side of the yard. There are five stalks growing closely in a circle. No sign of bloom stalks yet. The pleated leaves have thrown me but looking again just the newer ones towards the tops are pleated.
This clump is located next to the path I took from where I dug out the elephant garlic last year and the compost bin. As I recall it is pretty fast growing.
That first link definitely shows the pleated leaves. Yes, it is very healthy but I don't want it. I overlooked its growth there because I thought it was the Allium siculum which I did plant there. Then I realized they were two very different plants.
Very healthy looking plants! It does look like "Wild Leek" (Allium ampeloprasum). If that's what it turns out to be the database could use your great photo's!
