You have the right to remain silent.... Blinking Rolling my eyes.

You have the right to a horticultural adviser. Should you give up that right and choose to plant anyway, your lack of green thumbs could be used in the garden club against you....

If you cannot afford a horticultural adviser, Lynn or Chris may choose to appoint one for you. Rolling on the floor laughing

For those that might be new here, Eschevaria do not normally fall under the classification of "Hen and Chicks"

As twit mentioned above, there are only a few out of a long list of echeveria that have been given the common name of Hen and Chicks. http://www.desert-tropicals.co...
I gave an incorrect link first time around. The above new one shows the types of echeveria that are commonly called Hen and Chicks.

It's wonderful that we can have great succulents for outdoor gardens for just about any climate.
Live in a warm climate? Grow the frost tender types of echeveria that grow in a hen and chick fashion.
Live in climate with freezing winter temps? Grow sempervivum, the one most commonly known as Hen and Chicks. All sempervivum have the common name of Hen and Chicks.
