I too love the color and also the languid droop of the petals. Beautiful!

No!!!! No poison! I use thurgicide, or just squash them, ugh. Read the label on Sevin, and you will dispose of it and never buy more

I hate those hungry bugs so much! The orange, fuzzy caterpillars are the offsprong of the Oleander Moth, a rather beautiful monster with a fat blue body and red wings. I can catch them in one hand! Ugh, then to squash them. Only once I opened my fingers and the beastie flew away. Did I ever let out a wail!

Here are some photos of the O. moth and the oleander hawk moth, another eater of our precious flowers---

Yuck, I've seen the blue bodied one around here. The other one, with the kind of camo design wings, I've never seen. I am not a big fan of moths or butterflies for that matter. They can be pretty but only for a few weeks and then you get months of ravenous mouths. Plus, some of the moths here have made my cats really, really sick. Their liver enzymes are way off and the vets are afraid their liver will fail. I think it is the huge night moth, I don't know what it is called in english. It's as big as my hand though and the cats are fascinated by the fluttering but if they catch it they get sick.
