"Stuff" in bloom here this week -
Trichopilia Charles syn Suave Margins is always one of my favorites, I love the frilly blossoms.
I have to say I had no luck with my large plants of Lc Irene Finney 'Chicago' and Spring's Best', from Hausermann's. Both of them did well for a couple of years and then simply collapsed for no good reason. But I was able to save a tiny piece of the 'Chicago', and it is blooming. It will take years to reach the size of the original plant.
Lc Tropical Pointer 'Cheetah' opens a spike. This is a fairly small plant, manageable size.
Pleurothallis cypripedioides is a cute miniature. My plant took a bit of a break and starts flowering now. Fuzzy toilets?
I am off to give my palm presentation to a large garden club down in Riverview. It is a long drive and I'm on at 10:00. The only thing sticking in my head this morning is fuzzy toilets.

I like the 'Hawaii', nice color on that lip. I think I like most Encyclias ( + their x ), mine are spiking and they usually start blooming here when I move them outside/ see cage pic in the garden thread). Most of them smell so nice too!
Nice Encyclia, Ted. I agree with Ursula, I like Encyclias and they do well for me. EpiCatts seem to do well in my environment also. For some reason, my Stanhopeas are pouting and I don't know why. I haven't had a bloom on them since I completed the OC. Live and learn.

You're right about that Lc Tropical Pointer, Bree. I love it.
I took a walk in the garden today and growing out by the oak trees are the following:
The yellow Spathoglottis plicata
Cym. Little Black Sambo
Arundina graminifolia
and Epi. Radicans 'Crucifix'
Walking back inside the OC, it is hard to get past the screaming red of Epi. Pacific Sizzle 'Flameout X Epi. Pacific Pepper 'Mulligans' without taking a picture.
And my little Encyclia fowliei is putting on quite a show.

Did I mention that I also really like these reed stem Epis? Great color on that x too!
The Lc Tropical Pointer 'Cheetah' is now fully open. This is a fairly small plant, easily managed size-wise.
All buds on the Cattleya intermedia v orlata 'Sendai' are also now open, it produced a fairly crowded cluster.
It seems some of my Neofinetia falcata are waking up and budding, this Benisuzume is a bit ahead and opens again a small spike. There are a few more spikes in the works.
And this Trichoglottis rosea v. breviracema is an interesting warm growing Orchid, there are lots of very small buds/blossoms popping up on those leaf axils. I have always kept the growth horizontal, but it surely can grow pendant.
