This morning I got to watch a foal come into the world. I've seen it a few times, uaually I miss it, but it always seems like a miracle. She is a big girl, and very strong. Born at 4:45 a.m. and was standing at 5:15.

Having her first meal and Just out

Thanks, she's really nicely formed. These are links to her sire and dam if anyone has an interest in that.

Yes, she has lots of Thoroughbred in her. The sire is slightly more than 15/16th TB, and Mom has a lot in her as well. I don't own this mare anymore, I sold her, and she's just boarding here, but I do own the sire, and I also have a TB stallion who is a half brother to Spy Look. His name is Native Lover, and you could look up his pedigree by typing in his name in that link above. I also have one of Spy Look's Sons here as well, his name is Spy Looks T K O, he is out of a race breed AQHA mare. Then I have one of his Grandson's who's name is Top Moon Bounder, yes I have way too many stallions! Heck, I have way too many horses in general, lol.

Shannon, the sire is a Black and White Tobiano. He's mostly TB, and very tall. He's sired by Star Look, who has a 99 s.i., and was 3 time world champion race horse. What I like most about him is that he is very laid back and very athletic, with a lot of smarts. His foals are very smart and have his loving personality. This filly is really tall, should mature close to 16 HH. This mare has a daughter in Maryland, (Not far from you) she's a palomino overo, sired by my Sonny Dee Bar bred stallion. Last I heard, she was winning in the hunter jumper circles. This mare's Grandmother was a National Champion Western Pleasure horse, and was Res. National Champion halter mare. She broke 3 records in halter, western pleasure, and color. She held her record in halter for 7 years. (307 points in one year) She then produced a 4 time reserve world champion heading and healing horse, open and amature.
