In bottom of container from last summer overwintered in basement. Pot had Gloriosas, sweet potato vine, and Million Bells if my memory serves me right.

They look quite bright, but Sweet Potato Vine does produce some wriggly looking roots like yours.

They don't look like Gloriosa tubers to me and I don't think Million Bells grow tubers ... probably the Sweet Potato Vine.
