So do I! I'm glad someone likes them, I had no idea they had a bad reputation for being a 'weed' tree. I've always loved them and their wild cousins, "Touch Me Not". A Mimosa Tree always grew at my great grandparents house and my grandmother has a couple. They'll always be dear to my heart.
It really is a beautiful tree and attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds but it's listed as a Category I non-native invasive here in Florida and not one that is recommended to plant.
