One of my Facebook friends is trying to ID this. It seems very familiar to me...any thoughts on what this is?

Some kind of Ruellia, maybe? If so, it's not one of the species I am familiar with, but it looks like it might belong in that genus. Ruellias often go by the common name of wild petunia or something similar.

I thought ruellia as well, but the blooms don't look right, at least in my limited Ruellia experience here in Ohio. Is it perhaps a variety I just haven't seen?
