Oh, my goodness, Lyle. I loved the patterned one before, but now I am
really smitten. The colors are to die for, the shape, the sepals, everything.
It is such a gorgeous beauty. What size is it? I can just imagine how happy
you are with it, and here you are, already thinking of improvement. I bet

You are really getting some beautiful edges these days, Lyle! Those seedlings are beautiful, and I love that gorgeous patterned bloom!

Shirlee - The seedling has a 30 inch scape with a 6 1/2" bloom, first scape bud count 15 I think it will be a good foundation seedling, if I continue with the patterns.

Thanks Betty, One of the challenges with the patterns is the edge not many have one, basically plain, with the exception of Marilyn Morss Johnson, I may put that one with the seedling to intensify the edge - again not sure I will stay with the patterns.

The full forms are coming along nicely and with Fluff and Stuff in the parentage I can get some very nice edges, and blooms that don't hang

Very nice! And I was just wondering yesterday if you were using KATHERINE CALDWELL at all. I've collected some pollen, but it's growing in a flower bed that gets hit by sprinklers so I didn't want to use it as a pod parent. You've given me an idea, tho...

Betty - you will find KC is and awesome parent, very pod fertile. When you water just put a plastic bag over the pollenated bloom, and make sure you remove it after your watering is done.. You can put a lot of different looks on a seedling using KC.
