New year. New adventures with our pets.

The felines just kind of "ho-hum'd" their way into the new year.

I'm pretty sure the older ones don't actually go away, Ginger - we just don't post to them anymore (theoretically, that is )

Continuation from the last thread. I got a better photo of my new Green Bottle Blue tarantula. So you can see her colors better.

Hope so...need to look into a basic, cheap printer. I "think" one can be used with my HP stream baby laptop.

The spider is a great photo, really is blue and hairy...

Spiders are one of the few things that creep me out, but that is certainly an interesting one, TK

Our Sable girl had a rough night, so many fireworks made her so upset.

I might use my spider photo as a painting reference actually. I like the pose.

Yup the pups hate those fireworks.

Neighbors set off fireworks this year. Bailey wasn't afraid or nervous, but she did run around her run barking like a crazy person...guess she wanted a piece of the action!

Luckily neither Moose nor Archie is afraid of fireworks. Winston didn't like them but was fine as long as he was near me. I would sleep on the couch on holidays and during thunderstorms. Sabrina one of my Danes was extremely afraid and we had to give her medicine to get her to relax.

We got through New Year's celebrations. I didn't heara much but the dogs did and they all gathered around me Sugar - who weighs about 70 lbs plastered herself to my left side. Not to be outdone Oso - about the same size - wiggled his way to be on top of both of us. Both were shaking but it didn't last long. No barking or running around but I was just falling asleep when this happened and it thoroughly woke me up and I xcouldn't get back to sleep unti almost morning. I'm forcing myself to stay awake now so's not to get topsy turvy on sleep. The days are short enough as it is.

Gingin if you have a Google account you can make and save word documents in it. Maybe yahoo etc has similar feature.

I'd like to jump in here with the new thread for the new year. I am a dog person through and through. The dog in my life right now is River. He is a Vizsla. He is actually my sister in law Bonnie's dog, but she lived with us for the first three years of his life and now lives in her own cottage on the property. River spends his days here while Bonnie is at work though and often comes through the woods to visit of his own accord even when she is home

All dogs are special in their own way, and River is no different. He has the overly affectionate, quirky, stubborn, thinks he is a human personality that I have learned are fairly consistent throughout the breed. Here is River having SUCH a rough day...
