Beautiful flowers & photos!
Picked my flowers before the rain storm but didn't get whole lot of rain.

Jack, if you find your Gloriosas and rain lilies missing, I found a way to get them on a plane. Just beautiful.

Bev, stay safe out of this heat. I went out for a little while this morning and was wringing wet when I came back in from the heat and humidity. Too hot for me.

Jan, those are sooo pretty. How long do the lilies last in a vase? And what is that beautiful pink and white bloom?

I should have stayed out of the heat, but deadheaded, planted and weeded. I did have irrigation going and got wet a few times. That made me feel better, but I'm exhausted!

Jan, really pretty blooms. My cannas haven't started their show yet. Waiting patiently.

Another crinum. I'm not positive which it is. If anyone can help me ID these, I'd appreciate it. Most of these are passalongs from friends and neighbors.

A closer look at the NOID white. I thought maybe a white powelli crinum, but it has straggly leaves like the milk and wine lily.

Debbie, avatar photo is called 'Sitting on top of the world.' It's from S W Colorado along the 'Million Dollar Highway' between Ouray and Silverton in the San Juan Mountains. I wish I could call that home, but such topography is rather rare in the Land of Corn and Soybeans of central Illinois. We try to visit Colorado every 3 years to collect rocks and minerals. The mountain in the distance is named Red Mountain (has 3 peaks). The day after that pic was taken we were going to visit a ghost town and somewhere took a wrong turn and ended up 4 wheeling over the top of Red Mtn at 12500'. That was an experience so exhilarating it would be hard to describe. Thumb of 2010-07-30/jmorth/9a65e8

Last pic is Ouray.

I wouldn't worry about deleting it Jack. It's pretty enough to look at twice. What a fabulous place. I'm not sure about 4 wheeling over the top , that looks like it would have been scary. But I could sit and look at it all day. And the town looks wonderful too. Thanks so much for the photos.

Deebie, your crinums are beautiful. What is that awesome blue bloom in the top photo by the white crinum?
