The blooms on this plant never like to fully open for me and the doubling is rather poor. There are better red doubles out there than this one. I bought it for the name for my Dracula daylily bed. Really the only reason I keep it.
Sorry to hear it doesn't perform well. This is the first year that I'm actually considering getting rid of a few poor performers. Very difficult to do.
