I had already recommended them but I did respond to someone who posted that they had experienced puny plants

I love Bluestone. Even if you aren't happy with the plants they send, they always make it right for you.

I ordered some Show Off Forsythia. I am planting them with some dwarf winterberries. I can't wait to see the glow of yellow with the red berries.

Clint, the berries are in winter. The forsythia blooms in early spring. Those berries will be long gone before the forsythia blooms, the birds love these berries!~ Do you have a pollinator?
I already had 'Jim Dandy' and I purchased a 'Sprite' from Niche Gardens, I was very pleased with it. I got a couple from Bluestone Perennials also.

The berries last until Forsythia is blooming here. I feed the birds at my feeders so they aren't that hungry. LOL. Seriously, the Forsythia blooms in February here. The berries are always still on past that. I have Jim Dandy and Southern Gentleman. I really think it will work here. I'll post photos next year.

Clint, that is great. You have two male pollinators? Wow you must have a lot of Females. I just have one and so far about five females including the Sprite I just got last month, thinking about ordering another one if I have room it is so beautiful with the big berries. If Show Off Forsythia will bloom early for you then I should have good luck too. I ordered one off eBay a couple of years ago and it died. The person mailed it in the middle of summer and it got cooked. Is it small ? I do not have room for a big one but I thought it would look good with some Golden Sedge (Carex elata 'Aurea').Thumb of 2013-05-23/virginiarose/c8d572

Susan - You need the one called Showoff 'Sugar Baby'. They say that one is very small and is covered with blooms. I was going to order it too, but they sold them all. I'm also putting a Yucca 'Color Guard' in front because they have color year-round.

Ok, I will keep that in mind. I am also putting color-guard out front beside my Arborvitaes and also I bought two variegated, evergreen boxwood's, Buxus 'Wedding Ring' Should be great color all year. http://www.bluestoneperennials...
I also ordered Purple Smoke, Clematis Pink Champagne , Heucherella Rosalie, Aster September Ruby, Hydrangea serrata Tuff Stuff, Nepeta Walker's Low , Helleborus Sunshine Selections. I know I spent too much money but could not resist getting these at such good prices. I swear I am not ordering anything else. Whistling

Awesome! I ended up placing two orders. Ha! Here is my second order:

Fern Regal Red
Clematis Piilu (You people caused me to buy this one. LOL.)
Pulmonaria High Contrast (This looks beautiful!)
Sedum Cape Blanco (Hope this will grow here.)
I also ordered Forsythia 'Show Off' and Delosperma 'Mesa Verde' (I already had this one, but I wanted more because I want to plant a new plant in a better location to see if it does better. Of course, I am also rooting cuttings. LOL.)

Tomorrow is the last day of the sale, just go see what they have left. There might be something you could use but from my experience they always have another 1/2 price sale in the fall. However things are more picked over. I took advantage of these prices so I could get a few more Clematis mainly, but other stuff jumped into the cart just like it does at Walmart. You know how you go in for 3 or 4 things and end up spending a hundred dollars! Blinking

Mine arrived and it wasn't packed in their usual box that is marked "live plants, this side up"
so everything was topsy turvy and 2 plants totally destroyed, I emailed them...they always make things right so I'm not worried UNLESS they are out of stock Thumbs down

Seems like out mail service is going crazy. I found a box under my shrubbery and when I brought it in and opened the package it was my mini green house and it was totally bent and all cracked. I emailed Amazon and ask for a refund and they gave it to me, no questions asked, did not ask for a picture and did not ask me to return it. Thumbs up

I might have to ask Bluestone for a refund on two plants that look dead, I thought they would get better but it is just not happening. Sad

This is Bluestone's last chance from me. The coconut pots are just awful!
