Geranium maderense

Bi-annual...worth waiting for huge bouquet of lavender blooms in April, but enjoy the foliage in the meantime.

The foliage reminds me of the rabbit's foot fern. Pretty banner!

Great banner Cal, the leaves on this one looks like you have a happy geranium!

Thanks Nancy & Gigi, and all who left thumbs! Smiling

Sorry I wasn't here earlier, as I always like to
show more pics of the plant in the banner. Rolling my eyes.

re: Geranium maderense... What a great plant!

It never fails to put on a huge bouquet of blooms. Very easy to grow, no disease or pests, self-seeds, bees love it.

Thousands of little hairs with a drop of sap on each that sparkle when backlit by the sun.

Lush green fern-like foliage. Amazing.

Ever since I planted one (seeds?) ~10yrs ago, they've re-seeded,
e.g. have at least 10 this year.
I'm surprised we don't get a lawn of them (in the lawn), as the
bouquet has a few hundred blooms on each plant.

But they always manage to come up in just the right spot,
though did have to transplant 2 babies a month ago that came up in the lawn.

They start out very spindly, but eventually have a stalk up to 2" in diameter!

Hope you will try them if you haven't already. Thumbs up

Wow! Lovey dubby that's beautiful! Now how were you able to upload a slide or video?

I had to check that out months ago when he uploaded some other slideshows. In the lower right corner you'll see the software used, Visual Slideshow. I haven't played around with it yet, but at least I know how to do it now!

Thanks, Gigi! All the videos are uploaded to YouTube.
Slideshows are uploaded to my website, cal3d.com.
I created it years ago for my 3D animations, but now just keep it
so I can upload private slideshows for my friends like y'all.

Just realized the website is way out of date, so have to fix asap.

Very pretty rainy day here. Smiling
