Lygodesmia is a genus of flowering plants in the Asteraceae family (sunflower family).

USDA mentions nine species in genus

http://plants.usda.gov/java/Cl...

all nine species native in USA

http://plants.usda.gov/java/pr...

One, Lygodesmia juncea, according to USDA map distribution, is native in Canada, too.

But in "Flora of North America" are mentioned, only five species

I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
