Michele is one of the best. She has been so nice to me since I joined this group. I'm one that can never remember those great hints and I've had to ask her several times, the same questions and she never complains. I've bought a bunch of plants from her and they are fantastic and she has given me some great bonus and multiple extras. I sure wish I lived closer or we had a group in my area, but we don't, so I'll just have to keep on picking on Michele. She's a blessing to us all.

Hi. Newcomer here. Just a quick introduction. I'm Beth, also from Pensacola and in the same club as Michele and Fred. Just getting started in daylilies, although I've tended a number of old, unidentified plants that I inherited from my grandmother years ago. Congratuations to Michele and Fred on their awards at our show. Seeing all of the gorgeous blooms really got me motivated to get to work on building some more beds and getting more plants (uh oh!). This was my first daylily show - or any kind of flower show, for that matter. While I had nothing worthy of entering this year, I got to clerk with one judges' panels and really enjoyed the experience.

BETH Welcome! Hurray! Glad you made it here. And I am so glad you got to experience the show from a clerk's perspective. It helps newbies learn what judges are looking for, what they are taking points off for, etc. That is why I put you as a clerk so you could see what they expected and so I can have MORE competition in future shows nodding It really does help people realize that the blooms and scapes do not have to be 100% perfect to be entered into the show.
I really appreciate the hard work you put in the setup, clerking, breakdown, and the various other things you jumped int to help with. We couldn't have a good show if we didn't have good memebers helping!!
