Very erratic. One week we will have record cold temps and killing frost. A few days later, temps in the high 80's/low 90's. In general, a cold late spring though. It's also been very dry for a spring. The weather is doing a lot of damage to the plants (but not the weeds!). I've replanted my tomatoes twice now. I've been emptying a lot of pots of plants that didn't make it through the last year, with the extremes and no snow cover. That's OK though, since the collect has grown a bit larger than I can comfortably handle.

Natures selection of the fittest, takes the stress out of down sizing our collections.
Sounds like you are getting weather like Denver, with all the wild swings in temps.

We have had major rain all month and unusually cool weather for May, but the semps have loved it. Starting this next week we will have normal weather.

They look great Twit, 'Solist' is my favourite.
Its amazing how a slight difference in location, even within your garden, can have such a big impact on our plants. My tin baths are only slightly more sheltered than my pot bed, but the difference in how well they are looking is notable.

Twit, how are you Erwin semps doing? Any new photos?
It would be interesting to see how they have developed since last year.

It really was a very special event to be able to bring these wonderful new cultivars, from Erwin, to the U.S.

I'm very interested in knowing which semps were sent in the exchange, and whether those varieties were requested by Erwin, or were they just US cultivars we thought they'd apretiate.

Hi Sol.
Erwin requested certain semps. I'm sorry to say that I don't know where my list of what we sent him is.
Maybe Chris still has the list?

Just got an order from them. They're closing their doors and retiring. They had a nice assortment of p[erennials and some things not found elsewhere.
